Home to 100,000 welcomes, Ireland is the world capital of fun, mischief and adventure. The pints aren’t bad, music is ok, food meh, landscapes solid, and the people who wrote this aren’t sarcastic at all. Ah no, in all seriousness, Ireland is absolutely stunning across all aspects. You simply must visit at least once in your life and if you’re going to do it, do one the Tellus360 Ireland Trips. This ensures you go at the best time of year, get a crazy variety of activities that you probably wouldn’t do otherwise, visit the best pubs in all the land and hear some great Irish music - All of this while staying off the beaten track and away from the tourist traps.
As we like to say - If you’re looking for the ”leprechauns and pots of gold” thing, go with someone else. If you want to experience real Ireland, come with us.
Scotland
Celtic sister to Ireland, Scotland is home to some of the finest whiskeys, craziest characters and most breathtaking landscapes in the world. After experiencing Ireland, you will be intrigued and curious about what else is out there in the world of Celtic culture. If this is the case, let’s wander further afield up to Scotland and we’ll show you what all the fuss is about.
Portugal
Unexpectedly, Portugal is very very Irish in terms of character, community spirit and quality of life. Replace the pints of Guinness with red wine and swap whiskey for port and then exchange greens hill for golden beaches - Portugal is just a sunnier Ireland.
Alright, we might be stretching that a little bit, but after we did a few trips to Ireland and Scotland we’re getting inundated with requests to go do trips to Portugal, so that’s what we’re doing.
Style
These trips are often confused with “big bus tours” and we can assure that this is not the case - Just ask anyone who has been on any of the previous 12 years of Tellus360 Trips. The trips are super well organised by our friends in Ireland at Lally Tours. They’re specialists in touring and traveling, absolutely love what they do and are masters at crafting unique and bespoke travel experiences for people from all walks of life.
Some of you might remember the early days of Tellus360, back when it was a furniture store etc, and there was a lad running around named Chino / Morts Eeen / Mairtin. Well, he’s the guy who has been running these trips since Day 1, and he’s the guy who’s now back home in Ireland running Lally Tours.
The above is important for many reasons: he has lived in Lancaster, he’s married to a Lancaster lady, he worked in Tellus for 4 or 5 years, he knows how to run a damn good tour and he’s back to visit us in Lancaster two to three times a year. That means he’s here to host info nights to meet you all and see if these trips are a match for what you are looking to do. It’s also quiet helpful that he lives in Ireland, knows it like the back of his hand and regularly travels to Scotland and Portugal doing tours, surfing and/or kitesurfing.
The Tellus360 Trips are nice and chilled out - No early morning departures and has a bunch of double night stays. The accomodations and some of the key activities are locked in early, but how we get from A to B each day is super flexible. If the group are feeling good and want tons of fresh air, thats what we’ll do. If the weather sucks then we’ll just get into a nice cozy pub, listen to some great music and have some great local food. If you want to squeeze in a round of golf or a day at the spa, no problem, the guys ar great and helping you customise and arrange the details that help make this a unique and magical trip that is perfect for you. The itineraries are also known to be fairly counter-intuitive and very different to what other tour operators are doing. It’s less of running around in a bus as a box ticking exercise, and more of a real and true cultural submersion experience.
